The lower Palace

This historic apartment in the hip neighborhood of Silverlake in Los Angeles offered an exceptional blank canvas for artful design.  Designed for herself, this home showcases Ariane’s fearless design sensibility as well as her love of patterns, bold colors, and art.  In addition to the design, almost all of the art in the house was custom made by Ariane.  She also hand painted a striking black and white polka dot motif in the bathroom, and a super graphic of mauve, blue, and black waves in the kitchen that complements the vintage leopard print wallpaper in the dining room. The furniture and accessories are a compilation of playful and funky vintage pieces from the 60’s, 70’s & 80’s.
